GUILIN ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE CO., LTD (referred to as GLESI), formerly known as the Electrical Science Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, was established in Beijing in 1954 and relocated to Guilin in 1970. The company has undertaken numerous national, ministerial (provincial) level research projects and local economic research projects, achieving over 900 results and winning more than 140 national and ministerial (provincial) level science and technology awards, made significant contributions to the development of China's machinery and electrical industry.
